The Director of Social Media will spearhead the creation and implementation of a robust global social media strategy across multiple platforms, aimed at enhancing brand visibility, fostering engagement, and achieving business goals. This role demands a visionary leader who excels in managing dynamic teams and collaborating with external partners, while seamlessly integrating social media initiatives with overarching marketing and commercial strategies. Staying ahead of the curve on emerging social trends and platform advancements is crucial.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Vision: Develop and advocate for a comprehensive global social media strategy that aligns with the company's business objectives and brand identity. Assess and leverage new and evolving social platforms and technologies to ensure competitive positioning.
Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and manage a high-performing social media team, including internal staff and external agencies. Set clear performance metrics and objectives. Oversee relationships with agencies and vendors for creative, content, paid media, and platform management.
Content Strategy: Supervise the social content calendar and drive the content strategy, ensuring the production of high-quality, engaging content. Lead the execution of social media campaigns, creative initiatives, and brand efforts.
Performance Analysis: Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular, data-driven insights into social media performance, return on investment (ROI), and impact on brand and business outcomes to executive leadership.
Collaborative Efforts: Partner closely with Marketing, Communications, Product, Sales, and other teams to ensure cohesive and consistent social media messaging across all channels.
Financial Stewardship: Develop and manage the social media budget, ensuring that all campaigns and initiatives are cost-efficient and provide a favorable return on investment.
