The Role:
We are seeking a Director of Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting to enhance and institutionalize our accounting framework as Hashgraph continues to expand and evolve. This pivotal role is crucial for maintaining accurate, compliant, and scalable financial reporting, technical accounting, and control environments, thus enabling the organization to confidently navigate future complexities including growth, audits, and potential public market standards.
The Impact You’ll Have:
In this capacity, you will:
- Oversee technical accounting for complex transactions, ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and alignment with business objectives.
- Enhance financial reporting processes, including monthly, quarterly, and annual closing cycles.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate accounting implications of new initiatives, contracts, and strategic decisions.
- Develop and fortify internal controls and SOX readiness to improve auditability and overall risk management.
- Create and maintain accounting policies, memos, and documentation to facilitate external audits and internal governance.
- Lead process improvements and automation of accounting workflows to boost efficiency and scalability.
Success in the Next 6-12 Months:
- Financial reporting is precise, timely, and audit-ready, with comprehensive documentation and minimal rework.
- Technical accounting decisions are proactive, well-documented, and aligned with stakeholder expectations.
- Core accounting processes (closing, reporting, controls) are repeatable, scalable, and efficient.
