Mission and Vision of the Office of the City Administrator
Our goal is to set the benchmark in public administration and facilitate City departments in effectively providing essential public services. We strive to enhance municipal operations, connect San Francisco residents to crucial public services, and foster a vibrant and diverse workplace culture that attracts individuals committed to a career in public service. We are dedicated to ensuring that the City's services are inclusive, efficient, equitable, and culturally competent for all San Franciscans, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, or sexual orientation. This commitment necessitates a thorough review and evaluation of existing practices and policies to eliminate barriers to genuine inclusion.
We also prioritize creating a safe, equitable, and inclusive workplace for individuals from all racial backgrounds. This involves providing opportunities for hiring, promotion, training, and development for all employees, particularly Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC).
