About the job
The U.S. healthcare landscape is intricate and continuously changing, driven by innovative business models that enhance the distribution and availability of treatments for patients. To remain FutureFit within this dynamic environment, it is essential for our U.S. Market Access (USMAx) Team to have a comprehensive understanding of the evolving distribution models aimed at delivering treatments through non-traditional methods.
As the Director of U.S. Market Access Alternative Distribution Strategic Alliances, you will spearhead the development of U.S. market access strategies and contracts related to alternative distribution and direct contracting models across all Therapy Areas, projected to yield over $1 Billion in contracted value for AbbVie during the Long Range Plan (LRP). This pivotal role reports directly to the Vice-President of U.S. Market Access Account Management & Trade.
Your responsibilities will encompass establishing this new FutureFit function within USMAx, creating a robust strategic framework for Alternative Distribution across Therapy Areas, identifying the necessary cross-functional alignment, and determining organizational requirements. You will be the key liaison for Business Unit Heads, MAx leadership, and Cross-Functional Partners in developing Alternative Distribution strategies and executing go-to-market plans. Furthermore, you will collaborate closely with Trade and Distribution Account teams to foster and sustain strong relationships with existing and potential Strategic Alliance partners, while leading contracting and negotiation strategies and implementing an approval governance framework.
The ideal candidate will possess a proven track record in formulating and directing high-visibility strategies and achieving consensus across various functions within the AbbVie enterprise. You will define strategically aligned objectives, coordinate talent and resources to meet these objectives, and oversee performance across all initiatives to ensure contract compliance, while maintaining regular communication with Business Unit Heads, USMAx leadership, cross-functional colleagues, and other stakeholders.
