At Soho House, our Dishwasher (Porter) plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen by meticulously organizing and cleaning all kitchenware, including pots, pans, silverware, dishware, glassware, and essential kitchen equipment. You will help maintain the overall cleanliness and order of our kitchen space, ensuring dishes are stored in their designated areas.
The ideal Porter will take initiative in tasks such as properly disposing of rubbish throughout the shift, operating industrial cleaning machines, and occasionally providing assistance to the Chef on Duty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Thoroughly rinse, clean, organize, stock, and maintain an adequate supply of kitchenware to support daily operations and meet business demands.
- Uphold health and safety standards along with compliance to all company policies and relevant local, state, and federal regulations.
- Follow established checklists and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked workspace.
- Participate in all mandatory training sessions and meetings.
- Efficiently operate industrial cleaning equipment.
- Manage waste disposal, mop areas, and organize both dirty and clean dishware.
- Minimize breakage and handle inventory responsibly to prevent losses.
- Be adaptable to perform various tasks as requested.
- Collaborate with other team members across different stations when needed.
