Qualifications
RequirementsSome mechanical and electrical aptitude with a willingness to troubleshoot equipment is advantageous.Must possess a valid New York State driver’s license.Ability to comprehend and follow both verbal and written instructions.Capable of regularly lifting and moving up to 80 pounds.Willingness to work outdoors and assist with drilling operations in all weather conditions throughout the year.Experience in electrical, plumbing, or construction is a plus.10-hour and 40-hour HAZWOPER training is preferred but can be provided.OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour construction safety training is preferred but can also be provided.Experience operating heavy equipment is an asset.

Join our team at LaBella Associates as a Driller's Assistant, where we’re looking for both experienced and entry-level candidates for exciting environmental and geotechnical drilling projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the lead driller in various operations, including the collection of soil and rock core samples, installation of monitoring wells, and the decommissioning of wells.
• Assist in the upkeep of drill rigs, support vehicles, and related equipment.
• Handle the loading and unloading of supplies necessary for daily drilling operations.
• Operate various equipment such as jackhammers, generators, pumps, and pressure washers.
• Perform additional tasks as directed by the lead driller.
Salary Range: $20 - $22 per hour, commensurate with experience and education.
