JOB SUMMARY:
Join Adams Outdoor Advertising (AOA), the premier advertising platform in Madison and the fourth largest outdoor advertising firm in the United States. We are in search of enthusiastic Account Executives to bolster our sales team. Ideal candidates are energetic, self-starters who thrive in a fast-paced environment and can effectively collaborate with colleagues and a diverse array of prospective clients.
As an Account Executive (AE), you will leverage AOA’s substantial Out-of-Home market share in the greater Madison area to devise and sell impactful outdoor advertising campaigns to both existing and potential clients.
You will embark on our Adams Onboarding Program, tailored to equip you with a comprehensive understanding of Out-of-Home Advertising and its capacity to yield optimal returns on investment for our clients. This program is designed to empower new AEs, ensuring they possess the essential skills before engaging with advertisers and potential clients. Highlights of the program include:
- Introduction to AOA’s Best Practices
- Involvement in AOA’s firmwide "Lunch and Learn" initiative, focusing on innovative sales techniques and fostering talent development
- A senior Mentor assignment to guide your initial experiences and pave the way for long-term success
- Extensive exposure to the leadership within the Madison market, including the General Manager
The initial compensation structure includes a fixed salary, transitioning over time to a salary plus commission model. With proven success, you will have the opportunity to take on greater responsibilities, assume leadership roles, and potentially transfer to other AOA markets.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE:
- Engage with existing and new advertiser clients
- Develop advertising packages/products from AOA's diverse portfolio to meet the unique needs of advertisers
- Manage internal responsibilities including contracting, scheduling, and collections tracking
- Communicate with internal leadership regarding sales forecasts and performance tracking
- Collaborate with fellow Account Executives to foster a positive work environment
- Network with Account Executives from other Adams Outdoor Advertising markets to identify new opportunities and facilitate cross-market sales
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Sales and Marketing or equivalent professional experience
- 1-3 years of direct media or relevant sales experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in computer software and technology
- Strong understanding of marketing research
- Willingness and ability to travel as needed
- Possession of a valid driver’s license
