Gain Practical Experience in Editorial Work
Join the Mediengruppe Main-Post for an exciting internship opportunity in our editorial department. This is a fantastic chance for motivated individuals to acquire initial journalistic experience and familiarize themselves with the diverse tasks involved in local journalism.
Available Internship Types
Mandatory internship as part of an educational or study program.
Voluntary internship – up to three months – for orientation towards vocational training or pursuing studies in the media field.
Our editorial internships last a minimum of four weeks, ideally six weeks or longer. We offer a standard stipend of 300 euros per month. Please note that we do not offer trial or student internships in our editorial department.
However, we regularly conduct a free Student Workshop Day for young people aged 14 to 18 interested in journalism, held at our headquarters in Würzburg. For the next date and registration details, please visit mainpost.de/workshop!
Your Responsibilities
Research, write, and photograph original content.
Independently seek out topics for articles.
Participate in editorial meetings and research appointments.
Your Profile
Minimum age of 18 years.
Self-reliant work ethic.
Confident command of the German language.
Enjoyment of digital tasks.
Diverse interests.
Open-mindedness and teamwork spirit.
Good general knowledge.
Driver's license (class B).

Please indicate your available time periods, areas of interest, and whether you have access to a car or motorcycle/scooter. For internships at most of our local editorial offices, you need to be mobile independent of public transport.
