Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to the Tyler Union Safety Management Program and notify management of any discrepancies.
- Champion The McWane Way principles throughout the organization.
- Diagnose and repair electro-hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical industrial machinery.
- Maintain, troubleshoot, design, and install industrial control systems functioning on 24-volt and 480-volt setups.
- Install and configure AC variable frequency drives, instrumentation devices, and temperature control systems while recalibrating instruments, sensors, chart recorders, I/P transmitters, and controllers.
- Design, layout, and wire electrical panels according to specifications.
- Interpret blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine repair or installation procedures.
- Identify methods for repairing or adjusting equipment and controls in a foundry setting.
- Keep detailed logs of equipment performance issues, repairs, calibrations, and tests conducted.
- Inspect industrial equipment components for proper assembly, installation, or defects.
- Oversee scheduled preventive maintenance and respond to urgent breakdown repairs.
- Review work orders and communicate with equipment operators to identify problems and determine their causes, whether mechanical or human errors.
- Demonstrate the ability to multitask efficiently amidst frequent interruptions.
- Maintain professionalism and perform duties with speed and courtesy.
- Coordinate the efforts of hourly workers involved in equipment installation and maintenance; step in as a supervisor when necessary.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance management to troubleshoot system operation or maintenance challenges.
