The Electrical Quality Control Inspector plays a crucial role in ensuring adherence to quality standards within the electrical discipline. This position entails executing quality activities in alignment with the established quality management system.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement inspection and testing plans in accordance with project specifications and international codes.
- Ensure compliance with the company’s Inspection Test Plan, inspection checklists, material specifications, and engineering standards.
- Prepare quality procedures and review construction method statements for company approval.
- Utilize tools such as inspection matrices to control inspection statuses effectively.
- Supervise field inspections for electrical and instrumentation, ensuring timely corrective actions for any violations identified.
- Verify that IFC drawings are utilized on-site for all construction activities.
- Ensure the correct materials are used and that all necessary inspections are completed prior to installation.
- Oversee proper handling, storage, and preservation of equipment and materials in line with vendor instructions until pre-commissioning.
- Review the preparation of loop folders and monitor the progress of loop checks.
- Ensure all installation and testing activities comply with project specifications, codes, and standards to mitigate rejection and punch list occurrences.
- Monitor adherence to relevant method statements, inspection test plans, and procedures throughout the project lifecycle.
