THE JOB
As an Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will be an integral member of our team, working on the frontline of emergency veterinary care where every moment is crucial. You will encounter a variety of cases, from minor issues to severe emergencies, collaborating closely with our veterinary doctors and team to deliver outstanding, compassionate care. Your role will encompass triage, treatment, diagnostics, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, all while providing emotional support to pet parents during their most challenging times. This position is ideal for individuals eager to apply their training, enhance their skill set, and provide vital assistance to those in need.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Treat every patient and person with the utmost respect and care, ensuring that both pets and their owners feel supported throughout their experience.
- Act promptly to deliver necessary nursing care, treatments, and emotional support during critical moments, from triage to discharge.
- Administer medications and perform monitoring tasks, showcasing your expertise in various procedures, including IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions.
- Engage in effective communication as a team player and think critically to help shape treatment plans and maintain continuity of care.
- Be prepared to perform CPR as a certified RECOVER professional, contributing to our commitment to excellence in emergency care.
