THE ROLE
As a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician, you will be an essential part of our emergency care team, providing timely and compassionate care in high-pressure situations. You will manage a diverse array of cases, from simple to intricate emergencies, working closely with our veterinary doctors to deliver outstanding, empathetic care. Your responsibilities will encompass triage, diagnostics, treatment, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, all while offering reassurance to pet owners during their most trying times. This position is ideal for those eager to apply their skills in veterinary medicine, advance their expertise, and make a significant impact in the lives of pets and their families.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide compassionate care to every patient and their owners throughout the treatment process.
- Act swiftly to deliver nursing care and emotional support during critical moments, from triage through discharge.
- Administer medications and perform monitoring tasks, including IVs, blood transfusions, and more.
- Collaborate with the team to develop care plans and ensure continuity of care.
- Demonstrate your expertise in CPR and emergency response, with ongoing training to enhance your skills.
