THE ROLE
As a per diem Emergency Credentialed Veterinary Technician at VEG, you will be an integral part of our team on the front lines of emergency veterinary care. In this fast-paced environment, you will address a variety of cases, from minor to critical emergencies, collaborating closely with our doctors and team members to deliver exemplary, compassionate care. Your responsibilities will include triage, diagnostics, treatments, anesthesia, monitoring, and critical care nursing, always providing a steady and supportive presence for pet parents during their most challenging moments. This position is ideal for individuals eager to apply their training, enhance their skills, and provide critical support to pets and their owners when it matters most.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide compassionate care to every patient and pet owner, ensuring they feel supported throughout the treatment process.
- Act swiftly to deliver nursing care, treatments, and emotional support, from initial triage through to discharge.
- Administer medications and perform essential monitoring procedures, including IVs, CRIs, and blood transfusions.
- Collaborate effectively with team members, contributing to care plans and facilitating seamless communication.
- Be prepared to perform CPR as a certified RECOVER professional, with ongoing training provided to enhance your skills.
