What this opportunity entails:
Each project features distinct tasks, and contributors may:
- Devise challenging energy engineering problems that mirror professional standards;
- Assess AI solutions for accuracy, assumptions, and limitations;
- Verify calculations or simulations utilizing Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy);
- Refine AI reasoning to conform to industry-standard logic;
- Employ structured scoring criteria for multi-step challenges.
Ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Energy Engineering or a relevant discipline such as Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or Electronics;
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in energy engineering;
- Proficiency in written English at a C1/C2 level;
- Advanced skills in Python for numerical validation;
- A reliable internet connection.
Possession of professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EMP, CEM) and experience in international or applied projects will be considered an advantage.

Expected Project Commitment:
During active phases, tasks are estimated to take approximately 10–20 hours per week, based on project requirements. Please note this is an estimation and not a guaranteed workload.
Compensation:
- Paid contributions, with rates up to $38/hour*
- Fixed project rates or individual rates may apply depending on the project;
- Some projects may offer incentive payments.
*Please note: Rates are subject to variation based on expertise, skills assessment, location, project needs, and other factors. Highly specialized experts may receive higher rates, while lower rates may apply during onboarding or non-core project phases. Payment details are provided on a per-project basis.
