Opportunity Overview
Each project presents distinct challenges, and contributors may be tasked to:
- Develop complex energy engineering problems that reflect industry standards;
- Assess AI solutions for accuracy, assumptions, and limitations;
- Verify calculations or simulations utilizing Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy);
- Enhance AI reasoning to conform to established industry logic;
- Implement structured scoring criteria to multi-step problems.
What We're Looking For
This role is ideal for energy engineers with Python experience seeking part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Energy Engineering or related disciplines, such as Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, Electronics, etc.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in energy engineering;
- Excellent English written skills (C1/C2 level);
- Strong proficiency in Python for numerical validation;
- A reliable internet connection.
Additional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EMP, CEM) and experience in international or applied projects would be advantageous.

Project Commitment
During active phases, tasks are expected to require approximately 10–20 hours per week based on project needs. This is an estimated workload and not guaranteed.
Compensation Details
Participants can earn up to $33 per hour, contingent on their contribution level and pace. Note that compensation may vary across projects depending on complexity and expertise required.
