Opportunity Overview
Each project presents unique challenges, and contributors can expect to:
- Craft complex energy engineering problems that reflect industry standards;
- Assess AI solutions for accuracy, assumptions, and limitations;
- Validate calculations or simulations utilizing Python (NumPy, Pandas, SciPy);
- Refine AI reasoning to comply with established industry logic;
- Employ structured scoring criteria to multi-step problems.
Candidate Profile
This opportunity is well-suited for energy engineers with a background in Python and an interest in part-time, non-permanent roles. The ideal candidates will possess:
- A degree in Energy Engineering or related disciplines, such as Electrical Engineering, Power Systems Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or Electronics;
- Over 3 years of hands-on experience in energy engineering;
- Exceptional English communication skills (C1/C2 level);
- Strong proficiency in Python for numerical validation;
- Reliable internet connectivity.
Possession of professional certifications (e.g., PE, CEng, EMP, CEM) and experience with international or applied projects will be considered advantageous.

Project Time Commitment
During active project phases, contributors can expect to dedicate approximately 10–20 hours per week, based on project requirements. This is an estimated workload and may vary.
Compensation
Participants can earn up to $55 per hour, contingent on their proficiency and contribution pace. Compensation will vary across projects based on scope, complexity, and expertise required. Please note that other projects available on the platform may offer different compensation rates based on their specific needs.
