In this position, you will harness your knowledge in engine development and rendering methodologies to craft exceptional gaming experiences. Your responsibilities will include close collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to enhance performance and incorporate state-of-the-art technologies that elevate our games to new heights.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and sustain powerful game engine components that improve overall performance.
- Work in conjunction with artists and designers to integrate features and refine game systems.
- Produce clean, maintainable code and contribute to the overall architecture of the engine.
- Employ profiling tools to pinpoint bottlenecks and execute optimization strategies.
- Engage in code reviews, offering constructive feedback and mentoring junior team members.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and technologies to suggest improvements to our workflows and tools.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
- Demonstrable experience as an Engine or Rendering Engineer in the gaming industry, particularly with one or more released AAA titles.
- Strong command of C++ along with a comprehensive understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Familiarity with performance profiling tools and optimization strategies.
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team setting.
- A genuine passion for gaming and a desire to push technical boundaries.
Bonus Skills
- Experience with Unreal Engine or similar game engines.
- Background in open-world or large-scale projects.
- Knowledge of rendering techniques and current-gen console hardware.
