Your Role:

In this position, you will:
Develop state-of-the-art AI infrastructure to empower a research team of over 100 professionals at the forefront of creative AI.
Design and scale multi-cloud systems that facilitate high-performance training and inference of AI models.
Collaborate with AWS, GCP, Cloudflare, and GCore to optimize GPU compute environments.
Enhance CI/CD pipelines and improve developer velocity within our AI platform teams.
Strengthen monitoring, alerting, and observability for AI workloads.
Promote alignment of DevOps best practices across AI platform and CORE engineering teams.
Lead a high-impact engineering team in a dynamic and innovative setting.
Ideal Candidate:
You have experience leading DevOps or infrastructure teams, preferably in AI or high-performance computing environments.
You are proficient with AWS (ECS, EC2, S3, IAM) and familiar with multi-cloud environments such as GCP, Cloudflare, or GCore.
You have worked with Kubernetes, SLURM, or similar distributed training infrastructures.
You are fluent in infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.
You understand the lifecycle of AI models and can support R&D at scale.
You possess a solid understanding of containerization, Linux fundamentals, and cloud networking.
You are collaborative, inquisitive, and passionate about empowering others to work efficiently and safely.
About Our Team:
You will be part of CORE (Canva Original Research & Exploration), our dedicated AI research lab. CORE unites researchers, engineers, and infrastructure specialists to develop world-class models that enhance creativity on a large scale. With over 100 researchers in the team, this role is essential for expanding our AI training and inference capabilities as we explore the limits of product-integrated AI.
