About the Role
Dandy is making a transformative investment in pioneering manufacturing, automation, and CAD/CAM techniques that will shape the future of dental care. We are forming a dedicated Automation and CAD Software Research team aimed at tackling unprecedented challenges. This team will be tasked with developing innovative solutions that address our most complex problems, collaborating closely with our physical R&D, software application, and manufacturing teams to rapidly transition these innovations into production.
We are on the lookout for an R&D Software Engineering Manager to spearhead, mentor, and motivate this new team. You will play a pivotal role in Dandy's innovation framework, setting the technical vision and nurturing a culture of exploration, scientific rigor, and swift learning. This leadership position is integral in transforming bold ideas into impactful solutions that drive significant business value.
What You’ll Do
Lead a high-performing team of R&D engineers, responsible for their performance, growth, and career progression.
Establish the team's direction by crafting its technical roadmap and aligning projects with strategic business objectives.
Oversee the execution of intricate R&D workstreams, from initial research and experimentation to production-ready implementations.
Serve as a liaison between innovation and execution, collaborating closely with application and manufacturing teams to swiftly implement new technologies.
Promote technical excellence, ensuring that your team’s outputs meet the highest quality and operational standards.
Encourage a culture of innovation and continuous learning, creating an environment where experimentation is valued and learning is derived from both successes and setbacks.

What We’re Looking For
A minimum of 3 years of engineering management experience with a proven track record of leading and developing high-performing teams.
Strong background in CAD/CAM technologies and software development methodologies.
Exceptional problem-solving abilities and a passion for innovation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
