THE ROLE
As the Engineering Manager for FlashArray File Features, you will oversee a dedicated team in Prague, focused on enhancing Everpure’s™ leading file services. Your mission will be to deliver enterprise-level, high-availability file capabilities that enable global leaders to manage their critical data effectively. This role uniquely combines in-depth systems engineering with impactful people leadership, necessitating close collaboration with Product Management and international R&D teams to redefine the modern data experience. Your aim is to empower our customers to scale their file environments reliably and efficiently, embodying the performance standards synonymous with Everpure™.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Drive End-to-End Execution: Lead the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC) for core file features, ensuring high-quality, scalable code from design to production.
- Shape Technical Strategy: Collaborate with senior architects and Product Management to delineate the roadmap for multi-server and directory services, strategically balancing innovative feature delivery with long-term system stability.
- Cultivate Engineering Excellence: Advocate for comprehensive testing strategies and CI/CD best practices, promoting a culture of ownership and operational excellence among engineers.
- Empower and Develop Talent: Manage and mentor a team of 5–8 engineers, providing guidance on complex distributed systems while supporting their career development.
- Operational Leadership: Align team objectives with global business goals, managing dependencies across Protocol and Security teams to ensure timely and secure releases that meet our customers' requirements.
