The Role
Candid Health is on the lookout for a seasoned Engineering Manager to lead our Product Engineering team in strategizing, executing, and delivering our innovative platform to healthcare providers who depend on it for essential financial and operational workflows. Your team will play a pivotal role in constructing and upholding crucial elements of a sophisticated and dynamic architecture that meets industry-leading standards for quality, durability, and performance. In this capacity, you will collaborate within a highly cross-functional team, guiding and mentoring skilled engineers and tech leads, nurturing their professional development, and ensuring their impactful contributions. Close collaboration with company leadership, sales, and product groups will be vital as you assist in shaping and implementing our long-term product vision.
What You’ll Do
Act as an outcome steward: With extensive ownership of priorities for both our teams and customers, you will significantly influence the balance of competing demands and manage trade-offs effectively.
Lead implementation: Guide your team in fulfilling the technical vision by scoping projects and reviewing plans. Your familiarity with our codebase will enable you to champion best practices for design, delivery, and interdepartmental collaboration.
Manage technical teams: Oversee one or more motivated, successful teams, experimenting with and instituting systems that drive your teams' success. Collaborate with product, leadership, and fellow engineers to develop Candid’s flagship products, steering the direction for technical leads and individual contributors.
Mentor and develop talent: Investing in Candid's future entails fostering the growth of our team members. You will help define pathways for your team's growth through both formal performance management and organic opportunities.
Define product technical strategy: Collaborate with company and product leadership to understand and contribute to essential product and company strategies. You will be entrusted to architect the systems, processes, and frameworks necessary to meet our short-term and long-term objectives.
