Join our team as an Enhanced Due Diligence Researcher in the Financial Services sector, where you will play a pivotal role in producing high-quality reports that meet compliance and regulatory requirements for our esteemed clients in the Asia Pacific region.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough research on public records, including media articles, corporate documents, litigation, and regulatory filings, as well as social media and compliance databases.
- Engage in discreet interviews to collect valuable insights regarding the reputation of individuals and companies, while developing intelligence on various topics and industries.
- Produce comprehensive enhanced due diligence reports that support major banking transactions, such as IPOs and debt issuances.
- Assist your line manager in training, overseeing both internal and external resources to ensure timely and effective completion of projects.
Project Management:
- Manage enhanced due diligence assignments for financial services clients.
- Conduct research on specific topics, drafting summaries and findings independently or collaboratively.
- Support the proposal process by conducting scoping research and communicating with clients to understand their requirements.
- Occasionally liaise directly with compliance and internal control departments of financial institutions to clarify project scopes and address inquiries.
- Help expand the pool of research resources and subcontractors in the region.
- Ensure high-quality deliverables from vendors and subcontractors by providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues across Control Risks to address client queries effectively.
Regional Research Initiatives:
- Regular interaction with researchers and quality assurance teams to provide feedback on VANTAGE work.
- Participate in discussions aimed at improving services and products within the Control Risks Group.
