This role focuses on expanding Appian's footprint within Financial Services, primarily targeting greenfield opportunities. You will be responsible for managing a geographic territory, spearheading top-of-funnel marketing initiatives and prospecting, while adeptly navigating a complex sales cycle (approximately 6-9 months) to successful closures.
Key Qualifications:
Proven experience managing intricate sales cycles from inception to completion, utilizing internal resources effectively within a larger sales organization, and collaborating cross-functionally with Customer Success (Professional Services) teams and external partners.
Exceptional presentation skills, capable of delivering engaging in-person and virtual presentations to senior Line of Business and IT stakeholders, demonstrating proficiency in client discovery and communicating ROI to build business value.
Established relationships within the Financial Services industry, including key partner networks.
Adept at aligning customer objectives and KPIs with Appian's value proposition, facilitating the acceleration of customer goals.
Ability to act as a trusted advisor to clients and colleagues, leveraging multiple stakeholders throughout complex sales processes.
Proactive in understanding industry trends to strategically position Appian's offerings.
