The Supervisor, Entertainment Costume Operations plays a vital role in supporting the Entertainment Costume Operations Manager by providing daily supervisory leadership to front-line employees. This position ensures the smooth operation of the Entertainment Costume Department, focusing on efficiency and quality.
- Manage the daily operations of the Costume Areas, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures while monitoring staff performance.
- Guide and evaluate hourly staff's work processes, delivering instruction on essential daily techniques and procedures.
- Track and adjust daily labor hours to align with fiscal plans, while overseeing labor and training budgets and reporting findings to the Manager.
- Collaborate with Costume staff and Entertainment Management to devise solutions for operational challenges.
- Oversee costume inventories, processing orders as necessary, and maintain quality control over all costume pieces.
- Supervise team member schedules and manage payroll and timekeeping administration efficiently.
- Assess department staffing levels, hiring new team members when necessary.
- Foster open communication with hourly staff, providing feedback for recognition and improvement opportunities.
- Maintain proactive communication with management and team members to nurture positive workplace relationships.
- Address employee and internal guest concerns promptly, providing coaching and timely investigations as needed.
- Develop and implement initiatives to enhance internal guest and employee satisfaction.
- Monitor safety practices, addressing safety concerns and implementing company-sanctioned safety procedures while resolving Environmental, Health, and Safety issues.
- Assist in the setup of new entertainment costumes, projects, and events as required.
- Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.
