Position Overview
We are in search of a dedicated Litigation Assistant to become a part of our dynamic team. In this role, you will be integral to the daily operations of our law firm, performing essential administrative functions and providing support to our legal professionals. The ideal candidate is someone with a robust work ethic, outstanding problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute administrative tasks, including scheduling hearings, organizing case files, and managing logistical arrangements.
- Maintain and update pleadings and discovery indexes.
- Organize and prepare exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices for legal proceedings.
- Enhance administrative processes to promote operational efficiency.
- Collect, review, and organize evidence and legal documents for attorney review and case preparation.
- Draft and edit correspondence and legal documents, such as pleadings and contracts.
- Conduct research on regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist with reports and case files.
- Assist in client billing by preparing and finalizing invoices, as well as addressing billing inquiries with the billing attorney.
- Coordinate with clients and witnesses to schedule meetings, interviews, and depositions.
- Organize and maintain document filing systems, whether physical or electronic.
- Undertake additional related duties as required to support the firm’s needs.
