Key Responsibilities:
- Collect court-ordered restitutions and fines from defendants.
- Draft and file legal documents using the Electronic Court Filing (ECF) system.
- Prepare legal documents for garnishments, liens, and other collection processes.
- Issue demand letters, file liens, run credit reports, and prepare subpoenas.
- Track collection activities within our internal database.
- Communicate and coordinate with AUSAs in the Monetary Penalties Unit (MPU).
- Conduct factual research using public databases to gather information and identify assets.
- Utilize templates to prepare various legal documents including motions, memoranda, subpoenas, and correspondence.
- Ensure all legal documents comply with established formatting and style guidelines.
- Perform routine document center tasks, such as photocopying, assembling notebooks, and organizing case files.
- Assist in trial preparation for AUSAs, ensuring all necessary materials are ready and organized.
