Job Summary
We are on the lookout for a dedicated Litigation Assistant to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the daily operations of our law firm, which includes performing administrative tasks and assisting the legal team. We seek a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and exceptional problem-solving abilities, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform various administrative tasks including scheduling hearings, managing calendars, organizing case files, and overseeing logistics.
- Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes with precision.
- Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices for case preparation.
- Enhance administrative processes to improve workflow efficiency.
- Collect, examine, and organize evidence and legal documents for attorney review.
- Draft and proofread legal correspondence and documents, including pleadings and contracts.
- Conduct research on regulations, laws, and legal articles to assist in preparing reports and legal advice.
- Manage client billing by preparing and finalizing invoices, and resolving any billing discrepancies.
- Communicate with clients and witnesses to coordinate meetings, interviews, and depositions.
- Maintain document organization in both paper and electronic filing systems.
- Perform additional duties as necessary to support business needs.
