Join Essel Environmental as an Environmental Superintendent and play a crucial role in leading our environmental remediation projects. You will be at the forefront of overseeing project lifecycles, ensuring all tasks are executed effectively within established scopes, schedules, and budgets while also aligning with contractual obligations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead multiple projects across various sites, ensuring timely completion and strict adherence to project plans.
- Supervise and coordinate multidisciplinary teams, integrating critical scheduling elements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, taking responsibility for implementing necessary protocols.
- Direct field personnel, equipment operators, laborers, and subcontractors in planning and executing tasks.
- Interpret project specifications and coordinate construction phases to mitigate delays and uphold project timelines.
- Maintain accurate daily field documentation, showcasing expertise in construction methods and means.
- Adeptly recognize contract requirements, identifying potential changes or out-of-scope items.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates with comprehensive backup, actively minimizing schedule conflicts, and ensuring alignment with budgetary constraints.
- Procure materials and negotiate contracts with vendors/subcontractors.
- Investigate incidents and compile related documentation, including SOP development and safety stand-downs.
- Provide project support through site walks, soliciting subcontractor quotes, preparing estimates, and aiding in proposal submissions.
- Utilize computer skills, especially in Microsoft Office, to drive project efficiency and productivity.
- Collaborate with senior management to set both short and long-term objectives for the team.
- Assist in projecting costs to completion and preparing change order documentation as necessary.
- Supervise and mentor up to 10 direct craft reports, fostering their professional growth.
- Travel to project locations across multiple states as required for project execution.
