You will play a pivotal role in leading cross-functional teams to generate, deliver, and disseminate high-quality clinical data that aligns with our overarching product scientific and business strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the design and implementation of multiple clinical development programs (or one large, complex program) that support the comprehensive product development plan, grounded in robust medical and scientific principles, compliance, regulatory requirements, and market insights. You will also ensure comprehensive training for investigators, study site personnel, and AbbVie staff involved in the projects.
- Lead clinical study teams, monitoring the integrity of studies while reviewing and interpreting accumulating data related to the safety and efficacy of investigational molecules. Collaborating with Clinical Operations, you will ensure timely enrollment and delivery of key project milestones.
- Own the scientific content of protocols, Investigator Brochures, Clinical Study Reports, regulatory submissions, and other essential program documents, ensuring accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
- Supervise Medical and Scientific Directors and Clinical Scientists engaged in related programs, fostering a collaborative environment that enhances research outputs.
- Chair Clinical Strategy Teams (CST), developing a rigorous, cross-functionally aligned Clinical Development Plan that accounts for contingencies and alternative strategies. As CST Chair, you will guide matrix team members and represent clinical research within Asset Development Teams (ADTs) and ADT Leadership Boards (ALBs).
- Serve as an in-house clinical expert for therapeutic areas related to specific molecules and diseases, coordinating scientific and medical activities with internal stakeholders. You may also contribute to business development efforts as needed, working closely with Discovery teams on translational strategies.
- Actively engage with opinion leaders in relevant disease areas, collaborating with Medical Affairs, Commercial, and other teams to ensure alignment with corporate policies.
