Job Title: Attorney / Lawyer

About the Role:
pavago is on the lookout for a talented and qualified Attorney to join our remote team. This pivotal role involves delivering expert legal advice, drafting and reviewing contracts, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing support for litigation or corporate matters. The ideal candidate will possess strong legal judgment, exceptional drafting and research capabilities, and the ability to collaborate effectively with executives, managers, and external counsel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management: Draft, revise, and negotiate various contracts, including NDAs, MSAs, employment agreements, vendor/supplier contracts, and leases.
- Legal Research & Advisory: Utilize legal research platforms such as Westlaw or LexisNexis to investigate statutes, regulations, and case law, providing actionable recommendations to business leaders.
- Corporate Governance: Create board resolutions, shareholder agreements, and documentation for entity formation or restructuring.
- Compliance Oversight: Advise on compliance with industry regulations such as GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, FTC, and employment law.
- Litigation Management: Prepare legal pleadings, discovery responses, and motions. Oversee outside counsel, manage litigation calendars, and ensure all deadlines are adhered to.
- Regulatory Filings: Prepare and file necessary documents with federal, state, or industry regulatory bodies.
- Documentation & Recordkeeping: Maintain organized and secure legal records, ensuring that contracts and filings are easily accessible and audit-ready.

Required Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree and bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional legal experience (either in a law firm or in-house environment).
- Proficient in drafting contracts and providing compliance guidance.
- Familiarity with litigation and corporate transactional matters.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in multi-jurisdictional practice or international law.
- Previous in-house counsel experience.
- Specialized knowledge in employment, corporate, SaaS/technology, or real estate law.
- Experience with legal matter management systems (e.g., Clio, MyCase, PracticePanther).
