As a Painter at Constance Le Chaland, your primary responsibility will be to ensure guest safety and satisfaction by promptly addressing any concerns related to maintenance work undertaken. You will be expected to adhere to the preventive maintenance schedule as outlined in hotel plans.
Your role will involve preparing surfaces for painting by removing old paint, filling holes, and utilizing tools such as abrasive blasting or wire brushes. You will also select and apply appropriate primers and paints according to the surface type and location.
In addition to painting, you will prepare surfaces for concrete and cement work, fabricate, alter, repair, and maintain various structures including walls, sidewalks, street curbs, floors, and bathroom fixtures. Laying blocks and bricks according to specified plans will also be part of your responsibilities.
It is crucial to maintain all tools provided by the hotel in a professional manner, ensuring they are properly stored after use. You will also be required to clean work areas thoroughly upon completion of tasks and follow all safety protocols while performing duties.
Effective communication with the Shift Leader is essential, and you are encouraged to actively participate in the hotel’s energy conservation initiatives. The use of environmentally-friendly products is highly recommended, and you are welcome to suggest cost-saving ideas that could benefit the Engineering Department.
