Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations independently, adhering to Local, Regional, and National guidelines as an autonomous practitioner, including scans at remote locations without immediate Consultant Radiologist support.
- Deliver daily acute abdominal ultrasound services to various departments at Queen Alexandra Hospital, working within your qualifications and expertise.
- Possess a comprehensive understanding of ultrasound technology and physics, ensuring safe operation of various ultrasound machines to achieve optimal imaging and accurate diagnoses.
- Participate in the evaluation of new ultrasound equipment.
- Utilize analytical skills to interpret ultrasound images and produce independent written reports.
- Provide diagnostic insights to referring clinicians, significantly influencing patient treatment and management decisions.
- Offer expert advice regarding the care and treatment of obstetric, gynecological, and abdominal patients.
