Summary: The Facilities Maintenance Technician VII is essential in ensuring the optimal operation of our machinery and equipment, including electrical systems, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and various production machines. This role involves hands-on repair and maintenance work, ensuring that all systems function safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by adhering to all safety procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Support operations by ensuring equipment safety, availability, and reliability.
- Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair production equipment, including electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Proactively identify operational challenges and collaborate with maintenance engineers to implement effective solutions.
- Install and modify production and facility equipment according to layouts, diagrams, and schematics.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of plant systems, infrastructure, and utilities.
- Use drawings and schematics to complete machine assemblies and troubleshoot existing systems.
- Leverage advanced machine control knowledge to troubleshoot and repair systems, collaborating with control engineers to rectify issues.
- Identify and procure necessary replacement parts and equipment.
- Execute preventative maintenance, repairs, and project work orders as assigned, following established processes.
- Perform repair work using fabrication skills and manual machine shop equipment, including lathes, end mills, welding and soldering tools, plasma cutters, sheet metal brakes, and band saws.
- Ensure continuity within the maintenance department by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and ongoing needs across shifts.
- Complete assigned facilities project work, including planning, material ordering, and execution.
- Mentor and train junior maintenance personnel to enhance their facilities maintenance knowledge.
- Work effectively with minimal supervision and communicate proficiently in both independent and team settings.
- Timely completion of all required paperwork and other duties as assigned.
