Position Overview
We invite you to join our Federal Engineering & Design team as a Federal BIM Design Associate. In this pivotal role, you will contribute to mission-critical projects for federal establishments, including military bases, VA campuses, and various government facilities.
You will utilize advanced Building Information Modeling (BIM) techniques to execute intricate design and drafting tasks that bolster our Federal Engineering & Design efforts. By applying standardized BIM methodologies, you will drive innovation and efficiency throughout all project phases.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and maintain precise Building Information Models for projects, ensuring compliance with standards and specifications.
- Prepare and revise 3D models, drawings, and layouts using BIM software, collaborating with project teams to ensure design intent and modifications are accurately reflected.
- Assist in clash detection, constructability evaluations, drawing standardization, and quality assurance processes.
- Work closely with engineers and other stakeholders to incorporate multidisciplinary design components within the BIM framework.
- Support the development and implementation of BIM workflows, standards, and best practices across projects.
- Engage in client meetings and enhance presentations by utilizing BIM visualizations and data.
- Provide mentorship to junior team members on BIM tools and processes, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
- Integrate A/E/C and other client standards into drawing packages.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in a related field is preferred.
- A minimum of eight years of relevant experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
