ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Federal Business Development Representative, you will spearhead our federal sales initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to shape your own pipeline and create lasting relationships with key stakeholders in the government sector. Collaborating closely with the CEO and the GovSignals Federal Team, you will identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
We seek an individual with a proven track record in closing deals and a keen understanding of the complexities of federal procurement. Your ability to engage with decision-makers and navigate bureaucratic landscapes is crucial. You will be pivotal in crafting our sales strategy from the ground up, with no pre-existing playbook.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Identify and cultivate new federal business opportunities by establishing relationships with contracting officers, program managers, and senior officials across targeted agencies.
- Take ownership of your territory by researching agencies, mapping organizational structures, identifying funding streams, and devising account strategies that ensure timely engagement with the right individuals.
- Drive sales by meeting performance metrics and achieving closure on deals.
