In this role, you will take the lead in the sales process, driving partnerships with prospective merchants while effectively representing the DoorDash brand.
About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic Account Executive for Field Sales to join our New Verticals team. This hybrid position encompasses approximately 70% inside sales and 30% strategic field engagements aimed at closing high-impact deals. Your primary responsibility will be to identify, pitch, and onboard the best local and regional small- to mid-sized businesses (SMBs) onto the DoorDash platform.
As an Account Executive, you will manage the entire sales cycle—from lead generation to closing—in a fast-paced, transactional environment. Your work will predominantly be conducted from an office or home-office setting, involving high-volume outreach and innovative engagement with prospects. You will also have the opportunity to meet merchants face-to-face to nurture relationships and finalize partnerships. Some travel, including occasional overnight trips, will be required.
You will report directly to the Sales Manager for New Verticals and will have direct access to career development opportunities as our team expands.
This role allows for flexibility, balancing in-office and remote work. You should be prepared to travel for in-person collaborations such as training sessions, team offsites, and closing meetings as business needs arise.
