We are in search of a talented and driven Field Sales Engineer (also known as a Solution Consultant) to become part of our vibrant team at Lightspeed. In this pivotal role, you'll directly contribute to revenue growth by shaping deal strategies, designing effective solutions, positioning against competitors, and instilling customer confidence throughout the sales process. Your efforts will significantly influence our win rates, deal values, and the long-term expansion of our accounts. The right candidate will be vital in generating new business, supporting key accounts, and facilitating seamless collaboration between our sales and implementation teams. A thorough understanding of our products, exceptional technical skills, and strong interpersonal abilities are crucial for success in this role.
*** Please be aware that this position is based in Lyon and involves regular travel across France to support our Field team. A company car will be provided. Proficiency in French at a business level is required. ***
Key Responsibilities:
- Remote & Field Sales Support: As a Sales Engineer working remotely, you will travel frequently throughout France to assist Field Sales teams with on-site discovery, customer meetings, and demonstrations, all while representing the company with a high level of autonomy.
- Sales Execution & Deal Ownership: Collaborate closely with Account Executives across inbound and field sales to scope, design, and validate technical solutions that meet customer needs. You'll evaluate customer requirements, identify potential risks, and propose optimal solutions to ensure successful deal progression and closure.
- Revenue & Risk Enablement: Aid the sales teams by identifying technical risks, constraints, and dependencies early in the sales cycle, thereby helping to safeguard deal value, enhance forecasting accuracy, and ensure smooth transitions to implementation teams.
- Strategic Account Management: Work alongside Strategic Account Managers to foster customer retention, satisfaction, and growth, contributing technical insights to renewal discussions and assisting in preventing churn in complex environments.
- GTM Team Collaboration: Actively engage as a technical contributor within our Go-To-Market teams to ensure alignment and success.
