We are seeking skilled electrical engineers to become part of our dynamic field service team, dedicated to the repair, maintenance, and servicing of our customers’ lifting equipment. Responsibilities include managing service inspection contracts, overseeing refurbishment and modernization projects, and conducting installation, testing, and certification of overhead cranes and hoists.
Receive pay from the moment you leave home in the morning, with regular paid overtime after the basic 39 hours. Opportunities for overtime and call-out pay are abundant!
Your key responsibilities will involve:
- Performing preventive maintenance and repairs on electric overhead traveling cranes.
- Troubleshooting equipment malfunctions effectively.
- Consulting with customers regarding repair and safety-related issues.
- Generating sales leads during service calls.
- Completing necessary documentation accurately.
Qualifications We Seek:
- You must be apprentice-trained or possess equivalent qualifications and be well-versed in electrical engineering disciplines.
- Proven engineering experience with electrical systems, including 415v AC 3-phase motor contactor control circuits, 110/48 volt relay and contactor circuits, and familiarity with frequency speed control devices.
- Competence in mechanical aspects such as medium to large drive couplings, brakes, and reduction gearboxes.
- Understanding of the risks associated with working at heights.
- Experience with overhead cranes and hoists is preferred; comprehensive product training will be provided.
- Willingness to work a rostered day shift pattern (5 days out of 7), totaling 39 hours. Weekend shifts will offer enhanced premiums, with one weekend shift required each month.
- Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Excellent interpersonal skills due to extensive customer interaction.
- A proven commitment to maintaining safety standards.
- Must be physically fit and capable of working at heights.
- Flexibility to work additional hours as necessary.
- Possession of a current driving license is essential.
