The Field Service Technician plays a crucial role in delivering scheduled and remedial service for small to medium UPS systems, power distribution units, and battery systems (2-120KVA) supported by Vertiv. This position involves building and maintaining strong relationships with customers, coworkers, sales representatives, and other stakeholders. You will primarily support products and services catering to our 'Edge' market segment, including retail, financial, and municipal clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute service tasks as directed, adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Work effectively under supervision or independently, based on training completion.
- Provide on-site and phone assistance to customers.
- Communicate with technical support regarding technical or procedural inquiries.
- Implement Field Change Notices in accordance with published guidelines.
- Stay updated on safety bulletins, field change notices, and service tips.
Safety Responsibilities:
- Conduct work safely, following established safety guidelines.
- Maintain and operate the company vehicle in compliance with local laws and company policies.
- Wear the appropriate PPE as required by company safety protocols.
