As a Field Service Technician (FST) at Evolv Technology, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful deployment of our life-saving products. Your responsibilities will include supporting product demonstrations, installations, as well as performing maintenance, upgrades, and repairs on existing field units.
Key Success Metrics for Your First Year
In the first 30 days, you will:
- Undergo comprehensive technical training on our Evolv Express products, tools, and software utilized in the field.
- Shadow an experienced field service engineer to learn about common tasks and challenges in the role.
- Initiate relationships with customers, addressing their needs and concerns.
- Begin executing basic field service tasks such as installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment while documenting your work.
- Participate in team meetings to share insights and receive feedback.
- Familiarize yourself with internal company processes including inventory management and scheduling.
By the three-month mark, you will:
- Take proactive steps in both collaborative and independent settings to ensure success for Evolv, yourself, and our customers.
- Develop strong working relationships with teammates, sales executives, and customer success managers.
- Gain a solid understanding of the technical aspects of Evolv products.
- Establish a good rapport with clients and leave a lasting impression.
- Independently resolve multiple technical issues.
- Embrace additional responsibilities as you grow within your role.
- Complete essential administrative tasks effectively.
By the end of your first year, you will:
- Exhibit a deep understanding of the Express system and software.
- Lead special event support activities at high-profile locations.
