The Finance Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Finance Department for both C Rodrigues and Constance Tekoma. This position's primary objective is to deliver strategic financial guidance to Hotel Managers and senior management while providing efficient financial management services to the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare financial statements and consolidate accounts, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and accurate monthly, quarterly, and year-end disclosures.
- Oversee all accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Cost Accounting, Financial Accounting, Inventory Accounting, along with end-of-day processing and settlement.
- Develop and enforce internal financial and accounting policies and procedures to maintain compliance.
- Ensure adherence to statutory requirements, covering areas such as Income Tax, permits, license requirements, VAT, and other statutory returns.
- Analyze key performance indicators, driving business performance improvements by identifying cost-reduction opportunities.
- Support budget preparation and financial forecasts, offering actionable recommendations to achieve financial goals.
- Provide cash flow forecasting and manage cashflow-related activities to ensure sufficient funds for operational and capital investment needs.
- Document business processes and accounting policies to reinforce internal controls.
- Collaborate with the executive team to enhance processes and controls for optimal business operations.
- Compile statistical reports and file documents per regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with external and internal auditors to ensure compliance and timely reporting.
- Guide and support team members, promoting a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous learning.
- Oversee recruitment, training, and development of team capabilities, setting yearly objectives and assessing performance.
