Primary Responsibilities:
Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Compile, assess, and interpret monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements to ensure precision and adherence to accounting frameworks including IFRS.
- Assist in the month-end and year-end closing procedures, including the review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis utilizing SAP, OHEP Hyperion, and other IT tools.
- Create and sustain dashboards and key performance indicators (KPIs) to track business performance, facilitating data-driven decisions.
- Aggregate financial outcomes across various business units, providing insightful analyses on trends, risks, and opportunities within the department.
Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead or assist in the formulation of annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling projections in collaboration with business and operational teams.
- Examine budget discrepancies and deliver actionable insights to the manager and director of the department.
- Support in the development of financial models to assess scenarios, investments, and cost-reduction strategies.
Internal Controls & Compliance
- Guarantee adherence to internal accounting policies, financial controls, and external audit requirements.
- Identify, implement, and monitor improvements in internal controls to enhance accuracy and mitigate risks.
Cost Control & Process Enhancement
- Conduct detailed cost and margin assessments to pinpoint inefficiencies and optimize profitability.
- Engage with cross-functional teams (Sales, Product Management, Logistics, and other departments) to refine financial processes, ensuring alignment with corporate goals.
- Propose and implement automation tools or reporting enhancements to boost efficiency and accuracy in financial oversight.
Strategic Support
- Engage in the evaluation of new business ventures, capital investments, and other strategic initiatives.
- Act as a financial consultant to business units, aiding them in understanding the financial implications of operational choices.
