Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a Planning Associate to support our lead advisors in the New Providence, NJ office.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist Lead Advisors in providing exceptional client service across various client activities, including onboarding new assets.
- Deliver timely and accurate work, managing multiple projects while keeping the team updated on progress.
- Prepare for client meetings and assist with necessary documentation.
- Draft client Investment Policy Statements and asset allocation reports.
- Communicate effectively with clients, accountants, and attorneys through both verbal and written correspondence.
- Attend client meetings and support follow-up actions.
- Be willing to assist with administrative tasks, such as greeting visitors, answering phones, and scheduling meetings.
Long-term Duties and Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth client interviews to gather personal financial information and establish planning goals.
- Develop comprehensive financial plans that encompass investment strategy, tax considerations, retirement and estate planning, executive compensation, risk management, cash flow, and education funding.
- Support clients in implementing their financial plans.
- Participate in client meetings to assist the primary relationship manager.
- Review and interpret investment allocation trading reports.
- Work collaboratively with the client service team to oversee client service activities.
- Travel may be required on occasion.
