We are currently seeking a FinOps Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage cloud budgets, costs by domain, pipeline, or service.
- Implement and maintain tagging, cost attribution policies, and consumption reports.
- Configure and monitor budgets, alerts, cost anomalies, and proactive control mechanisms.
- Execute optimization recommendations: rightsizing, autoscaling, storage policies, and the removal of idle resources.
- Analyze CUR/Cost Explorer and FinOps metrics to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Define and maintain unit economics (costs by user, transaction, product, event).
- Implement chargeback/showback processes for financial transparency.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to align costs, architecture, and efficient patterns.
- Promote a data-driven FinOps culture emphasizing operational discipline and cost-benefit decisions.
Experience:
- 3 to 6 years in FinOps, Cloud Cost Management, or Cloud Operations.
Technical Knowledge Required:
- AWS Cost Management (essential).
- Technical and financial tagging.
- AWS Budgets, Cost Explorer, Cost & Usage Reports (CUR).
- Unit economics (cost per domain, pipeline, BU, microservice, etc.).
- Governance policies: SCPs, limits, alerts, anomaly detection.
- Desirable knowledge of optimization in compute, storage, and networking.
