Job Title: Fire Sprinkler Engineer Drafter
Location: Remote Work
Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM EST

We are on the lookout for a meticulous and technically proficient Fire Sprinkler Engineer Drafter to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will excel in creating precise fire protection system drawings, layouts, and hydraulic calculations utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, and specialized software such as AutoSprink. This position plays a crucial role in the design and execution of fire sprinkler systems across residential, commercial, and industrial projects, ensuring adherence to NFPA codes and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Draft and design fire sprinkler systems using AutoCAD, Revit, and AutoSprink.
- Analyze architectural and mechanical plans to develop fire protection layouts.
- Conduct hydraulic calculations and prepare schematic riser diagrams.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and contractors to confirm design accuracy.
- Revise drawings based on feedback and site conditions.
- Maintain documentation and drawing standards in accordance with NFPA and local codes.
- Facilitate project coordination and ensure timely delivery of design packages.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in fire protection drafting or a related engineering field is essential.
- Expertise in AutoCAD and Revit; familiarity with AutoSprink is highly advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and NFPA codes.
- Ability to interpret construction documents and MEP plans effectively.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Licensure as a Mechanical Engineer or equivalent certification is a plus.
Tools and Software
- AutoCAD, Revit, AutoSprink, Fire Elite, PlanSwift, MS Office.
- Familiarity with BIM 360, Navisworks, Bluebeam, or similar platforms is beneficial.
