Our North & Midlands Water team is seeking an enthusiastic Flood Risk Consultant to contribute to our rapidly expanding Water Business Line. This is an exciting opportunity to engage in high-profile projects across the UK and beyond, right at the center of one of the UK’s most ambitious northern engineering hubs.
In this role, you will play a vital role in developing resilient and sustainable solutions for communities, infrastructure, and the environment. Each day will present new challenges, offering you the chance to innovate, collaborate, and grow within a dynamic team that thrives on diversity.
Your Responsibilities:
- Prepare Flood Risk Assessment reports for various development scales and complexities, with guidance from senior team members, including larger NSIP projects within the DCO/EIA framework.
- Contribute to complementary projects and enhance capabilities in EIA, SFRA, and flood risk permitting/consenting.
- Create clear and concise technical reports summarizing complex concepts for diverse audiences, including the Planning Inspectorate, Environment Agency, LLFAs, Clients, and the Public.
- Manage project execution by adhering to timelines, budgets, and quality assurance standards.
- Take pride in delivering high-quality technical outputs and project deliverables.
- Provide technical guidance and support to graduate team members.
- Assist in crafting tender responses and proposals.
