Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to all food safety protocols.
- Receive deliveries, inspect products for damage or shortages.
- Label, rotate, and store all received products on the day of delivery.
- Prepare daily prep lists for a 48-hour period.
- Prepare menu items following Domino's standards.
- Proof dough for 24 hours, ensuring proper dating and re-cooling.
- Maintain appropriate temperatures for all prepared products.
- Monitor and document temperatures of refrigeration units.
- Date all products in compliance with Domino's standards.
- Prepare all necessary cooking equipment, including sandwich mats and papered pans.
- Keep the prep area and all food exposure points clean and sanitary.
- Restock dipping cups, soda machines, and boxes as needed.
- Report safety hazards and maintenance issues promptly.
Qualifications:
- No formal work experience required; however, 1 year of restaurant experience is advantageous.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills.
- Texas Certified Food Handlers Certificate is mandatory.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Capability to stand or walk for 8-10 hour shifts and lift at least 30 pounds.
- A strong sense of pride in your work.
- Willingness to adhere to all food safety procedures.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.
Education and Experience:
A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required. Candidates will receive on-the-job training to learn specific functions, including operating the computer system and product knowledge. A positive attitude is essential for success.
Work Environment:
The role of a Prep Cook involves preparing a large volume of products each shift, which can be physically demanding. Long periods of standing are common, which may lead to back strain or foot discomfort. Frequent hand sanitization is required due to food handling. The kitchen environment is warm and bustling, often accompanied by noise from conveyor belt ovens and warming shelves.
