Position Summary:
We are seeking passionate Food Scientists and Senior Food Scientists to take charge of product formulation, testing, and iterative development across our diverse product range. This role will involve transforming innovative ideas into scalable, market-ready products, from initial benchtop experimentation to pilot production.
This hands-on role will primarily focus on formulation, testing, troubleshooting, and refining products. You will collaborate closely with our commercialization, supply chain, and quality assurance teams to ensure that all products meet stringent standards for taste, nutrition, safety, cost-effectiveness, and scalability.
Key Responsibilities:
Product Development & Formulation
- Lead hands-on formulation and benchtop experimentation to create and enhance high-protein, low-calorie food products.
- Convert initial concepts into testable hypotheses, benchtop experiments, and product prototypes.
- Evaluate and critically assess new food ingredient systems and processing methods aligned with David's strategic roadmap.
- Design prototypes that harmonize taste, texture, nutrition, stability, and scalability.
- Drive rapid formulation iterations based on sensory evaluations, data analysis, and manufacturing constraints.
- Thoroughly document formulations, methodologies, and results.
Sensory & Performance Evaluation
- Conduct and analyze internal sensory evaluations and laboratory tests to assess product flavor, texture, appearance, and physical performance.
- Utilize sensory and analytical findings to inform targeted formulation enhancements.
Scale-Up & Commercialization Support
- Assist with pilot and early production runs, identifying and mitigating formulation, process, and ingredient risks during scale-up.
- Collaborate with commercialization, operations, and manufacturing teams during pilot and initial production phases.
- Support ingredient evaluations, supplier assessments, and quality assurance documentation, including specifications, testing protocols, and nutritional targets.
- Ensure that early-stage food concepts uphold taste, stability, safety, and cost efficiency through the commercialization process.
- Effectively communicate technical insights across R&D, Supply Chain, and Commercialization teams.
