Opportunity Overview
Each project presents unique challenges, and contributors may be involved in the following:
- Crafting advanced physics problems that mirror real-world applications;
- Assessing AI solutions for accuracy, assumptions, and limitations;
- Validating numerical calculations or simulations using Python libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, and SciPy;
- Enhancing AI reasoning to meet industry-standard logical frameworks;
- Implementing structured scoring criteria for complex, multi-step problems.
Desired Qualifications
This role is ideal for physicists with Python expertise who are interested in part-time, non-permanent project work. Preferred candidates will possess:
- A degree in Physics or related disciplines, such as Engineering Physics, Thermodynamics, Statistical Mechanics, or Optics and Acoustics;
- A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in physics;
- Excellent command of written English (C1/C2 level);
- Strong proficiency in Python for numerical validation tasks;
- A reliable internet connection.
Professional certifications (e.g., CPhys, EurPhys, MInstP) and experience with international or applied projects are advantageous.
Project Workflow
Process: Apply → Pass qualifications → Join a project → Execute tasks → Receive payment.
Time Commitment
Tasks are projected to require approximately 10–20 hours per week during active project phases, depending on specific project needs. This is an estimate and does not guarantee a fixed workload.
Compensation
- Compensated contributions, with rates of up to $32/hour*
- Fixed project rates or individual rates based on project specifics;
- Some projects may offer incentive payments.
*Rates may vary based on expertise, skill assessment, geographic location, project requirements, and other factors. Higher rates are available for highly specialized professionals, while lower rates may apply during onboarding or non-core project phases. Payment details will be provided per project.
