About the job
We invite you to submit your resume in English and include your English proficiency level.
Mindrift connects talented professionals with project-based AI opportunities at leading technology companies, focusing on the assessment, evaluation, and optimization of AI systems. This is a project-based collaboration and does not involve permanent employment.
Key Responsibilities:
While each project presents unique challenges, contributors may be tasked with:
- Crafting original computational biology challenges that reflect authentic biological research processes;
- Generating problems that necessitate Python programming solutions (utilizing libraries such as Numpy, SciPy, BioPython);
- Ensuring that tasks are computationally demanding and cannot be resolved manually within practical timeframes (days/weeks);
- Creating problems that require complex reasoning in bioinformatics, systems biology, and molecular modeling;
- Originating challenges based on genuine research difficulties or applicable scenarios from biological practice;
- Validating solutions using Python and standard computational biology libraries;
- Clearly documenting problem statements and providing verified correct answers.
Ideal Candidates Will Possess:
This opportunity is well-suited for biology experts with Python experience who are interested in part-time, non-permanent projects. Preferred qualifications include:
- A degree in Biology or a related field;
- Proficient in Python for numerical validation; familiarity with MATLAB, R, C, SQL, Numpy, Pandas, SciPy, domain-specific libraries, or alternative programming languages is acceptable;
- At least 2 years of professional experience, including applied, research, or teaching roles;
- Experience in biological data analysis and algorithm implementation;
- Knowledge of bioinformatics tools and computational techniques;
- Exceptional English writing skills (C1+ level).
Application Process:
Apply → Pass Qualifications → Engage in a Project → Complete Assigned Tasks → Receive Payment
Project Commitment:
During active project phases, tasks are expected to require approximately 10–20 hours per week, contingent on project specifications. This is an estimate and does not guarantee workload consistency.
Compensation:
Contributors can earn up to $45 per hour, depending on their level of expertise and contribution pace. Compensation may vary across projects based on scope, complexity, and necessary skills. Please note that other projects may offer different compensation structures according to their specific requirements.
